Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus vs Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra: Design & Features
The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus smartphone comes with fabulous design & features. This model is a big one with a 6.8” display. You have to hold it to believe the size of the smartphone in your hands.
Already, the 6” itself was pretty sufficient enough for your hands, and now this almost 7” phone. We don’t quite know what the maker wants to prove here. But in our opinion, the size could have been retained at 6.5” itself.
Maybe, they want to create a niche for themselves. Mind you; this model is not meant for everybody. If you are somebody who prefers a compact model, then you might want to stick to a smaller model.
But the smartphone is beautifully designed. You can take your own time to admire it. The elegant edge-to-edge design with the pixels around it makes it eloquent to look at. Besides, you can see the curved display that is present on it.
The maker has offered you with Quad HD+ resolution and sublime brightness on the model. Besides, it comes with the Super AMOLED display that makes it appear fantastic. There is a fluid 90Hz screen refresh rate.
Moreover, the unit can be slippery. Many users have complained about that. Even the slightest of not properly holding them might result in those deadly falls. Yes, it is a head-turner. Please note that you do not have the traditional 3.5mm headphone jack but a USB-C port here.
It is interesting to note here that the maker has flipped the design of the volume and the power buttons. They come on the left side of Note 10 Plus model. However, on the Note 20 Ultra model, they are found on the right side.
We don’t quite understand what the reason behind this notion is. But nonetheless, they work, and that is the important thing. If you are somebody who hates using a case, you might want to use a case for the Note 10 Plus.
That is because it can help in protecting the model from scratches and falls. Yes, it does have Gorilla Glass on it, but that might not be sufficient to protect it from accidental falls. The Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra smartphone comes with flawless design quality.
You can bet that the $1100 model is infused with exceptional features in it. We found the display of the Note 20 Ultra model somewhat appealing. That is because you can easily see what you are doing under the sunlight.
That is the purpose of getting a note model right. You want to be able to work efficiently both indoors and outdoors. It is possible because of the sturdy refresh rate of up to 120Hz. Your browsing, reading, and other tasks are now much more pleasant using the Note.
We were pleasantly surprised with the build quality of this model. The metal and the glass material have been elegantly combined to give you an exciting product. Their texture is simply fantastic, and so is the finish of the product.
You can also note that the seal between their components within gives it a unique look. It means that the unit meets the IP68 certification requirements. There are no fingerprints when you are using the model.
You can now effortlessly work with the model. Since the power & volume buttons are now present on the right side, you can work on them flawlessly. However, the maker has changed the position of the S Pen to the bottom-left corner.
It also comes with an in-screen fingerprint reader, as also found on the Note 10 Plus. Sadly, they do not work as they should do. Our tester was flabbergasted with the Note 10 Plus model. The reader on the model seems to give too many errors when you unlock it with your thumb.
You will be delighted to know that the Note 20 Ultra comes with the latest Victus glass than what is present on the previous Note model. This unit comes robust, and many users have commended the ability of the model to withstand the falls much better.
All in all, the features present on the Note 20 Ultra is somewhat better compared to the Note 10 Plus, which is good in its own way. You have a better battery working life in the Note 10 Plus.
Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus vs Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra: Setup & Performance
The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus model offers you with a stunning performance like it should give you. Though you can find other Android phones that work quicker, this unit can really brag about itself for now.
The 12GB RAM found in the phone offers you with plenty of flexibility. You can open your browser, do your writing work, and a whole lot of other work flawlessly. We felt that this smartphone is most ideal for entrepreneurs.
If you consider yourself as an entrepreneur, then you would love to use models like these. It does not hang under any circumstances. The Note 10 Plus comes infused with the powerful Snapdragon 855 or an Exynos 9825 chipset.
You are provided with a microSD card slot for expandable storage. You can find several models that come with large screens that do not really offer any value to your personal or professional work limits.
They do not come with the stylus, and Samsung has intelligently now locked itself in one area of the market that nobody can touch. Yes, you are going to shell out close to $1000, but that is the beauty of this whole concept.
You can do a wide range of tasks on them, including playing games, watching the 4K videos, and having several apps running. The performance just does not slow down one bit. That was good to see.
The Note 10 Plus certainly has a better battery compared to the counterpart discussed here. That was somewhat surprising considering the fact that the Note 20 Ultra is more expensive than the Note 10 Plus.
However the former comes with a 4500 mAh battery, but unfortunately, it gets heated up too soon, affecting the overall performance. Unlike that, the Note 10 Plus can work better though it only comes with a 4300 mAh battery.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra smartphone is an outstanding model. Yes, it is kind of large and heavy. The Ultra model comes with a 5G connectivity, but the Plus unit does not have that for now.
The maker may update it; we are not sure about that. Having said that, the Ultra model comes as a stable version from the maker. It comes infused with everything that you could ask for. Sadly, it is merely average, and we were disappointed with that.
When you want to make use of the best from the stylus, then this unit is your answer; otherwise, you can choose from the newer, fresher handsets.
Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus vs Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra: Price
The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus smartphone is priced at less than $850. The unit was released into the market in 2019. You have to pay more for the S-Pen when you want it. The maker provides a 256GB internal storage version, a large screen, an S Pen, and a microSD card slot.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra smartphone is priced at less than $1100. The model was released in 2020. Today, you may not find the 256GB model sold any longer in the market. Perhaps, some retailers might be offering them.
However, you can definitely find renewed models in most retailers. It comes with the 128GB model, which is way cheaper than the 256GB model. It is surprising that they haven’t lowered the price to less than $1000.
It is a valuable device to own. It is because the S Pen that provides you with a built-in stylus and the stylus feature in it. This is common among the models sold by Samsung in 2021. A few of them include the Galaxy Z Fold 3 ($1,800) and the Galaxy S21 Ultra ($1,200).
Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus vs Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra: Verdict
There you go. We have come to the end of our comparison review between the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus vs Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra smartphones. We hope that you enjoyed reading the post and were able to make your decision on the Note model of your choice.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus smartphone is an exceptional choice. During its release, the model was the largest model from Samsung. It is a premium phone that comes with a large screen of 6.8” with a functional S Pen and a phenomenal battery working life.
Sadly, it is not the fastest or comes with an opulent camera phone. Yes, you can take some stunning images and photos, but not up to the mark that it should. You can use the Note model to watch your favorite shows and movies during your commute or on your journeys.
The unit also provides you with a standout from the crowd feeling. You can make use of the front camera for taking selfies if you want. Finally, it comes in handy for those of you who love to take notes or watch to sketch images on your Note.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Plus smartphone is a powerhouse that provides you with a stunning performance. It has the ability to increase the bar in several ways. There are tremendous specifications in nearly every category.
We feel the maker has assembled a spectacular device that can serve most of you stunningly well. But it is not the winner compared to most models that we really hoped it would be. The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus smartphone could be the better model because it has better video recording quality (main camera), faster downloads, and a wider aperture at the minimum focal length.
It is also DLNA-certified, 12grams lighter, and provides you with 5G support. You can also use the 1.58x faster uploads and larger pixel size (primary camera). The Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra smartphone might be the ideal unit here because it has more megapixels (main camera), a faster GPU clock speed, and a higher RAM speed.
It also comes with laser autofocus, a greater zoom range, and a higher refresh rate. There is also a higher AnTuTu benchmark score and a manual shutter speed. Our winner between the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus vs Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra smartphones is the Note 20 Ultra model.
The display is simply refined and cutting edge, thanks to the 120Hz refresh rates. Unfortunately, the battery life could have been improved. However, the Note 10 Plus is also a good model, but the Note 20 Ultra just edges it because of the specifications that it has.
