The AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT has come to the market, or at least, what we feel. Because of the availability issues, you may not be able to find it currently. It also hails the debut of AMD’s smaller Navi 22 GPU.
It is priced under $480, and the maker wants to compete for the unit with its own RTX 3060 Ti and the RTX 3070. Let us see how that ends. It is able to land among the upper ranks of the GPU benchmarks scoresheet.
You would want to know that the Navi 22 does not add or remove the features that are present in the Big Navi and RDNA2. That is because it comes with full DirectX Raytracing (DXR) support. Not to mention, it has the ability to implement the full DirectX 12 Ultimate features list, including a Variable Rate Shading (VRS).
We have seen this in the past where AMD has slimmed the die size by decreasing the number of the shader cores, Infinity Cache, and memory controllers. The Radeon RX 6750 XT is another interesting graphics card that has been released in the market along with the RX 6650 XT.
There is the 6950 XT model also that comes with exceptional features, including a faster 18Gbps GDDR6 memory. There are also higher GPU clocks and higher power consumption. But you will want to know that the pricing is also much higher than the 6×00 XT models.
The model that we are going to be reviewing in this post is the Asus ROG Strix 6750 XT. It is almost identical to the ROG Strix 6700 XT. Apart from the “5,” the features are more or less the same.
We suggest you try out Nvidia’s RTX 3070 Ti and RTX 3070 first before making up your mind. In this review, we will be comparing the AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT vs Radeon RX 6750 XT to find out the best AMD mid-range graphics card.
The RX 6750 XT is an upgraded model from Radeon RX 6700 XT. We will compare the pricing & availability, the performance, and the pros & cons. This will help us understand more about these two mid-range desktop graphics cards.

Pricing & Availability
The AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT is priced under $480 at the moment. It was launched in March 2021. We can expect the maker to reduce the price to make it attractive for users. So, if you are keen to own one, then we suggest that you wait for some more time to get it cheaper by $100.
The AMD Radeon RX 6750 XT was under $550 and was launched in May 2022. Sadly, due to the shortage of chips, you may get them at a higher price. Now, the Radeon 6750 XT model that is priced at $570 seems to be much better than the RTX 3070.
That is because it is priced at $700. Moreover, it sounds better than what you can get from the RTX 3060 Ti, which is priced at $590. This depends on where your chances are on your stance on the ray tracing and DLSS.
Our tester feels that the RTX 3060 is a better buy. But you never know what you miss out on without the use of these models. The Radeon RX 6700 XT model has been on sale now since March 2021, and the Radeon RX 6750 XT has commenced from May 2022.

Setup & Design
There is definitely something unique and special about AMD’s new line of mid-range graphics cards. They are the two RX 6700 XT cards. They come with a base-level performance and a design that is similar to that of the other RX 6000 reference cards.
The design of the 6700 XT is pretty good. What we mean by that is that you can place it inside any device you want. It could be a laptop or a PC device effortlessly. The length and width are the same as that of the RX 6800.
It also makes use of a dual-fan configuration where it comes infused with the custom 88mm fans. However, most of the other models, like the RX 6800, come with custom 78mm fans. Considering the power ratings, we can say the RX 6700 XT runs a bit hotter than most cards.
The Asus Radeon RX 6750 XT ROG Strix is similar to most of the other ROG Strix cards. We cannot say whether it is a good or bad thing. It comes with plenty of RGB lighting effects, ample cooling, and triple fans.
It measures 322x141x57 mm and weighs around 1560grams. That is quite huge for a mid-range 250W GPU model. It occupies 2.9 slots and is quite comprehensive. You will want to know that the model comes with three fans that have an integrated rim.
The integrated rim helps in ensuring that the static pressure and the cooling stay good inside. You will want to know that Asus has confirmed the fan spinning in the opposite direction comes from the two outer fans.
This helps decrease the turbulence in the unit. However, we are not sure about the exact figures here. In the performance, as you will read, we noticed that the graphics card was opulently quiet in operation.
However, the fans stopped immediately when the temperatures went below 50C. At the top region of the GPU, there is a large illuminated RGB lighting strip. You will want to know that the fans do not come with their own RGB LEDs.
They face towards the bottom of your PC case. It comes in the usual colors of black, gray, and silver options. If you have seen or used an Asus device, you would be aware of that by now. There is also a Strix logo on the backplate.
You can notice the two 8-pin PEG power connectors at the top. You have a small cutout at the back of the card for letting air come inside on the heatsink fins. The model comes with a standard three DisplayPort 1.4 and one HDMI 2.1 output.
You may note that the IO bracket comes having two slots. But most of the area provides adequate ventilation. The heatsink fans come embedded with the IO backplate, ensuring the heat gets exhausted at the top and bottom and in your PC case.
Performance
The Radeon RT 6700 XT GPU model comes as a 1440p gaming solution. You would want to know that the unit can offer with sublime 1080p results and go up to 1440p. It can achieve strong frame rates at 1080p ultra.
We read the tests and came across decent figures that were able to average 131 fps. It makes the model close to 7% quicker than the RTX 3060 Ti GPU model and 1% slower than the RTX 3070 GPU model.
Gamers also said that they were able to notice enhanced visuals from the ray tracing that are often not that noticeable. It could be in the form of enhanced lighting, Improved reflections, and refined shadows.
You would want to know that the RX 6800 is more expensive than the 6700 XT GPU model. There is a minor difference could be around 20% in price, but it can only give you 15% quickness.
The good thing about this model is that it is much faster than the earlier generation RX 5700 XT model. Playing some games like Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and Borderlands 3, the performance was more than acceptable.
The games make use of the DirectX 12 API and are AMD promotional games. You can experience similar when you play games like Forza Horizon 4, Dirt 5, and Horizon Zero Dawn.
We are happy to announce that the model was able to land where you wanted it to, and that is what matters. It gives and provides you with a top-notch performance that is not often found on most GPU models in the market for the price range.
As we have mentioned in the post, it is much quicker than what you get to see in the 3060 Ti and close to 3070. When you are not keen on ray tracing and don’t want to make use of the Nvidia GPU, the 6700 XT is a fantastic choice for now.
The RX 6750 XT GPU model is ahead of the RTX 3070 unit. That is possible because of the fact that it comes infused with a 96MB Infinity Cache that can give you with a higher hit rate when operating at lower resolutions.
The model does have some decent ray tracing figures that boast about, and that is obviously out of the question at 4K. When you love to play games like Warhammer 3, then you would be happy with the 45-fps coming short of the 30-fps mark.
However, we may not be able to praise the model because these are figures that we got in cheaper models. In the end, the gaming tests that were done on both gave the RX 6750 XT model a considerable advantage.
The Radeon RX 6750 XT GPU model can provide you with a stunning 7% better performance on average at 1440p resolution. We agree on that because we noted a similar kind of gap during the testing of games.

Verdict
There is no doubt that the Radeon RX 6700 XT provides you with a phenomenal graphics card for a reasonable price. This is when some of you may wonder how many graphics cards can actually offer something close enough to the AMD launch price.
The answer to that is quite simple because, just like most of the RDNA2 cards, they may not be able to do so. Though mining is possible, most of the latest GPU models might be difficult to find out in the market.
That is due to the fact that there are plenty of shortages on several tech components at the moment. You may not be able to find top-end GPU models, substrates, memory, and the others currently may last until the end of 2022.
If AMD follows the usual pattern of what they did when they went for higher sales by ordering the Navi 22 wafers, then there is a slight chance. The less mining performance of the GPU models might give them a chance.
When you are keen to get one for yourself at the current price, then we might recommend that you get it for yourself. Even if you do not want to own or use one, you can get the product and then resell it to somebody else for a higher price because of the enormous demand currently.
The main issue with the RX 6750 XT is that AMD has done a lot to enhance only the pricing for small gains. That is what we felt after reviewing the product. It is a great product but in bits & pieces.
This is quite surprising coming from AMD. Maybe we had pinned our hopes too high on the product. That is because many gamers felt that the RX 6700 XT itself was very expensive. However, the GPU shortage over the last two years might have caused an increase in prices.
The pricing is a critical factor here because they don’t come with any meaningful quantities. While they are being sold at $500 for now, we may see them sold for relatively lower pricing after a few months.
But the Asus ROG Strix RX 6750 XT provides you with a stunning delivery of the level of performance. You would be delighted to know it meets the target of 1440p gaming easily. But please note that Asus has increased the already high price and given it a recommended price of $650.
While some makers might remove the RGB and others’ bling from it to give it a cheaper rate, that may not suit the rate present in the market. That means we can suggest that you can make use of the Strix 6750 XT when you can find it for $600.
Yes, there is no denying that Asus knows how to implement the graphics card on its laptops efficiently; it is apparent that they have better values right now, and we hope that the availability of the cards improves over the years.
It does come with a minor upgrade in performance for the $500 models in the market. There is a slight increase in the power and the memory speed from 16Gbps to 18Gbps performance. But the memory speed and other updates did not seem to do much good for the model.
The Strix price can be challenging to justify. In the end, the Radeon RX 6700 XT provides you with an outstanding performance, and the pricing looks good. Though AMD looks doubtful that it can make it meet the demand at launch, it should prove a competitive offering.
But the RX 6750 XT graphics card is a beauty. We highly recommend the use of the model because of the minor but significant improvements that can be found in the unit. This proves it to be much better than the former model discussed here.
The Radeon RX 6750 XT is equivalent to the NVIDIA RTX A4500 Laptop GPU. Though there are several other models that come pretty close to the GPU, the RTX A4500 is almost on par with the unit.
The AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT graphics card is perfect for gaming. It comes powered with the help of the AMD RDNA™ 2 architecture. There are close to 40 powerful enhanced compute units.
Moreover, you can make use of the new AMD Infinity Cache. The 12GB dedicated GDDR6 memory offers you with ultra-high frame rates and gives you a powerhouse 1440p resolution gaming.
The RX 6700 XT does well in games like the Call of Duty Warzone. We found it to be awe-inspiring in there, providing you with more than 100 fps at 1080p. It also is able to offer you a 13% faster than the 3060 Ti.
The Radeon GPU can maintain the lead at 1440p, and though not a significant difference, you can notice the additional 13% performance.
The RX 6750 XT Watch Dogs Legion comes at 1440p and is able to provide you with a fantastic lead when the resolution goes up. That, too, happens when you have disabled the software because of the DLSS and ray tracing.
The RX 6750 XT is quite good in performance for the price. AMD has shot itself in the arm by launching the RX 6750 XT at $549. This comes with a slight increase of $50 on the RX 6700 XT, which was first released for $480.
So, we can say that the closest rival would be the RTX 3070 and RTX 3070 Ti launched at $499 and $550, respectively.
The Asus Radeon RX 6750 XT can work on the 4K performance. Yes, you can use it for the 4K gaming performance with ease. This is a definite possibility. So, if you are keen on using it for the 4K games, then please go ahead with it.
The RX 6700 XT supports ray tracing but cannot work with the DLSS due to the Nvidia technology. But it may work with FSR (Fidelity FX Super Resolution) that can help you perform a similar task.
The RX 6700 XT comes with the 1440p graphics card and can move ahead at 100fps even at 4K. This performance is almost 80% more than the RX 6800 and has the new $480 Big Navi card exactly between the RTX 3060 Ti and RTX 3070, priced at $399 & $499, respectively.
The RX 6750 XT model performs quite well for gaming. This is a good sign from an overclocked RX 6700 XT. It shows that the 6700 XT model is not exactly a slow coach. The unit is able to provide you with high frame rates at 1080p, and you can play games at 1440p, enabling FSR 2.0.
The AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT is an exceptional 1440p graphics card offering you with the RDNA 2 architecture. It has been able to bring it to an affordable price. But the proximity to the RTX 3070 means it cannot be the ideal option based on the games you want to play.
